The Desert

This is kind of scary to do, but I decided post some photos of where I am, because its really different than where most of you are!

We are in the desert, but lots of wild plants grow here. The water has disappeared so people don't raise crops here anymore. That ended way before I was born. But we still have animals. The horses need hay but the cows and sheep and goats pretty much live on what grows here.

When we say "tree" this is what we think of. It's a Mesquite tree. It's already lost its leaves for the summer.


Looking out across the open spaces around us, opposite directions.



The sheep will find anything halfway green to eat.


While I was watering my aunt's garden boxes, this came out to see what I was doing.
