Welcome to the forum TEEᑎ ᒪOᑌᑎGE ᖴOᖇᑌᗰ ᗩᑎᗪ ᑕᕼᗩT ᖇOOᗰ
T͏e͏e͏n͏ L͏o͏u͏n͏g͏e͏ i͏s͏ a private, safe, fun, moderated, youth operated Forum and chat room. We have weekly trivia and Uno game nights on Saturday. Teen Lounge is open to all youth, and parents are welcome to join.

So now we have a place for this.... so I want to ask a question. For all you guys/girls that or bi or gay or pan: Are you out at school, and do you feel safe at school?
For those that are straight: Do you know lgbtq+ people at school, and do YOU think that THEY feel safe?

I know a gay kid that is a friend of mine, my own age, and no one bothers him and he gets slong with everybody, and he never said he did not feel safe.

I feel quite safe at home, and in my school. Pretty much everyone knows I am gay, and even a straight friend recently ( last night actually) let me mess around with him. Keep in mind though that I go to a small school, and live in a small town, so things might be different if it was a larger town or school.

Yes, I know a boy, and girl both that have been bullied, and intimidated for being gay. The sad part being our school turns a blind eye to it and does nothing about it.

I have never felt unsafe being gay. Most people that know me accept me for who I am, and realize that my sexual preference is just a very small part of who I am as a person.

I felt scared once, and it was this weekend. A friend of mine and I got caught kissing at his house on Saturday night by his older brother. I was scared of who he would tell, like parents, or other people that I think it would upset. But I feel better because he was really cool about it and did not say anything to anyone.

I guess I should have answered my own post, lol.
I am out to all my family and extended family and they are cool. I am only out to a few friends at school. I see how other out kids are treated, and don't want to make it public. I don't hide it though, so if somebody asks, I will tell them I am bi. So I don't really get bullied for it since none of the bully types know. I get the "Go back to Mexico! Get out of our country!" thing pretty often, and I don't need the "faggot" label added to it (that seems to be the term used here, hope I don't offend anyone).
