Welcome to the forum ꧁༺TEEN LOUNGE FORUM AND DISCORD CHAT ROOM ༻꧂
T͏e͏e͏n͏ L͏o͏u͏n͏g͏e͏ i͏s͏ a safe, fun, moderated, youth operated Forum and chat room. We have weekly trivia and Uno game nights on Saturday. Teen Lounge is open to all youth, and parents are welcome.

Did you know that:47,000 Illinois students reported attempting suicide in 2015. Nearly 100 Illinois youth (age 10-19) died by suicide in 2015. 2 in 10 Illinois students report being bullied. Students who are bullied are twice as likely to attempt suicide.
Illinois has a website called safe2help Illinois. It offers students, kids and teens a safe, confidential way in which to share information that might help prevent suicides, bullying, school violence or other threats to school safety. This program is not intended to suspend, expel, or punish students. Rather, the goal is to get students to “Seek Help Before Harm.” Safe2Help Illinois will also develop an educational curriculum aimed at changing the culture in Illinois schools while also providing the resources to help parents and educators reinforce the components of this program.

Our school participates and promotes Safe2Help Illinois. I know of at least 1 high schooler and 1 junior high student that got help because they were thinking of suicide and also were doing self harm such as cutting. This was a great post to put out there and share Joshua, and nice cam chat after school today.
